Mold Screen & Sampling

Most homes have mold somewhere.  Mold needs water to grow.
In most cases, if you remove the water source and cleanup the mold, the "mold issue" is resolved.

Mold Screen - A walkthrough of the home and documentation of any observed mold-like substances or observed conditions that promote the growth of mold.  According to the EPA and other recognized authorities, this is the most reliable method to determine whether there may be a "mold issue" in the home.
Sampling - We perform air sampling, swab sampling and bulk sampling (for mold spores) and send the samples to the lab for analysis.  The lab report will be forwarded to you upon receipt.  Air sampling is a snapshot at best, and it can be misleading at worst.  There are no federal standards or TLV (threshold limit values) for mold spores that we are aware of.  Air sampling is not routinely recommended, and it is not a basis on which to determine occupant exposure.
